EYH 2019-2020 Program Overview Plan

EYH – Beginner Overview:

The EYH beginner program welcomes ages 4-10 looking to be introduced to skating and hockey fundamentals in a fun, positive learning environment. The program runs from October to March, with both practices and cross ice games. Practices aim to prepare skaters for cross ice game play, which will begin in January. It is not necessary, but strongly recommended to participate in Everett Learn to Skate prior to registering. Full gear and USA hockey membership required (found here: USAhockey.com). Gear rental is available if needed through Everett Youth Booster Club. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Brad Sholl, Rink Operations Director 425-322-2653.

EYH – 6U Overview: (Birth Years 2013 & 2014)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level either in-house or with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practice ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Practices will be shared ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through EYH and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover the jerseys*, game socks, practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 8U Overview: (Birth Years 2011 & 2012)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Practices will be shared ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, game socks the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 10U-B Overview: (Birth Years 2009 & 2010)

Players must tryout for this team. Players must register with EYH to tryout for this team. Players will participate at the Metropolitan Hockey League MHL 10U B league. Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. The majority of practices will be shared ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for this team will cover jerseys*, game socks, ice time for practices, home games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel, away games and tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players whom are not selected for this 10U-B team will be offered the opportunity to play on a 10U-C team that will be playing in the MHL *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 10U-C Overview: (Birth Years 2009 & 2010)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Practices will be shard ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover the jerseys*, game socks, practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

12U-AA Overview: (Birth Years 2007 & 2008)

Players must tryout for this team. Players will participate at the Tier II level within Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (PNAHA) league (Washington) and be placed in a “flight” within Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey League (PCAHA) league (BC, Canada). Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Most practices will be shared ice and some will be single team practices. Home games for this team will be scheduled through the PCAHA league office. Fees for this team will cover ice time for practices, home games and referees for home games. All other costs for uniforms (jerseys, socks, shells, etc.) coaches, travel, away games and tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players not selected for this 12U-AA team will be offered the opportunity to play on the 12U-B or C team that will be playing in the MHL

EYH – 12U-B Overview: (Birth Years 2007 & 2008)

Players must tryout for this team. Players will participate at the competitive competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Most practices will be shared ice and some will be single team practices. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, game socks, the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players not selected for this 12U-B team will be offered the opportunity to play on the 12U-C team that will be playing in the MHL. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 12U-C Overview: (Birth Years 2007 & 2008)

EYH – 14U-C Overview: (Birth Years 2005 & 2006)

Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Practices will be shard ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, socks, the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

Silvertips Elite 14U AAA Overview: (Birth Years 2005 & 2006)

Players will participate at the Tier I level. Practices will be 3 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Home games for these teams will be scheduled as ice time is available a bit closer to the beginning of the season. The fees for these teams will cover the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for coaches, travel, away games, etc. will be covered by the players/families.

Silvertips Elite 15U AAA Overview: (Birth Year 2004)Players will participate at the Tier I level. Practices will be 3 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Home games for these teams will be scheduled as ice time is available a bit closer to the beginning of the season. The fees for these teams will cover the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for coaches, travel, away games, etc. will be covered by the players/families.

EYH – 16U-B Overview: (Birth Years 2003 & 2004)

All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, game socks, the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players not selected for this 16U-B team will be offered the opportunity to play on the 16U-C team that will be playing in the MHL. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 16U-C Overview: (Birth Years 2003 & 2004)
Players will participate at the recreational competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Practices will be shard ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, socks, the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

17U-AA Overview: (Birth Years 2002, 2003 & 2004)

Players must tryout  for this team. Players will participate at the Tier II level within PNAHA league (Washington) and be placed in a “flight” within PCAHA league (BC, Canada). Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Most practices will be shared ice and some will be single team practices. Home games for these teams will be scheduled as ice time is available a bit closer to the beginning of the season. The fees for this teams will cover jerseys*, socks, the ice time for practices, home games and referees for home games. All other costs for coaches, travel, away games and tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH. Players not selected for this 17U-AA team will be offered the opportunity to play on the 18U-B or C team that will be playing in the MHL

18U-AA Overview: (Birth Years 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004)

Players must tryout for this team. Players will participate at the Tier II level within Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (PNAHA) league (Washington). Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Most practices will be shared ice and some will be single team practices. Home games for this team will be scheduled through the PNAHA league. Fees for this team will cover ice time for practices, home games and referees for home games. All other costs for uniforms (jerseys, socks, shells, etc.) coaches, travel, away games and tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players not selected for this 18U-AA team will be offered the opportunity to play on the 18U-B or C team that will be playing in the MHL

EYH 18U-C Overview: (Birth Years 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices ice times will average 2 times a week and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Practices will be shard ice. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, socks, the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.
